Gary Steele

Gary Steele (he/him)

Gary Steele is Cisco’s President, Go-to-Market, leading a unified organization across Cisco’s Sales, Partner, and Global Marketing teams to accelerate customer outcomes and drive growth across the enterprise. In addition, Gary leads Splunk at Cisco. A highly regarded technology executive with over 30 years of experience, he has a proven track record of successfully scaling SaaS operations and growing multi-billion dollar global enterprises. Prior to joining Splunk, Gary was the founding CEO of Proofpoint, where he led the company’s growth from an early-stage start-up to a leading, publicly traded security-as-a-service provider. He previously served as CEO of Portera and held various leadership roles at Sybase, Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard. Gary has also served as a member of the board of directors of Upwork, a talent freelancing platform, since 2018. He holds a B.S. from Washington State University.

Tom Casey

Senior Vice President, Products & Technology

Tom Casey is the Senior Vice President, Products & Technology for Splunk. With over 25 years of experience, Tom is responsible for evolving Splunk’s market-leading unified security and observability platform. Prior to joining Splunk, he served as Senior Vice President, Engineering at DocuSign, where he led the company’s product strategy, including development, execution and delivery of all products worldwide. Prior to DocuSign, Tom served as Vice President, Platform and Infrastructure at Apptio, where he helped scale the Company’s SaaS platform from a single offering to a multi-product portfolio. Before that, he spent 16 years at Microsoft in a number of leadership positions in product and engineering. He holds a B.S. from the University of Arizona.

Sharyl Givens

Sharyl Givens is the Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer for Splunk. Prior to Splunk, she spent 11 years at Proofpoint in human resources leadership roles, including the past eight years as Chief Human Resources Officer. At Proofpoint, Sharyl was responsible for driving global business growth through people-centric human resources initiatives, including key talent development, DEI and wellness programs. Sharyl has over 20 years of experience, including a variety of human resources roles at Rambus, SanDisk, Dolby Laboratories, Opsware (formerly Loudcloud and now part of HP Inc.) and Calico Commerce. Sharyl holds a B.S. from Menlo College.

Emily Killam

Emily Killam is the Senior Vice President of Go-to-Market Operations for Splunk. With over 20 years of sales experience, she is responsible for leading all facets of operational excellence across sales, customer success and marketing in support of the go-to-market organization. Prior to joining Splunk, Emily spent eight years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in sales strategy leadership roles in which she directed shared services and business operations for its multibillion-dollar worldwide public sector and strategic industries organizations. Prior to AWS, she served as a finance leader with Raytheon Technologies Corporation and in sales roles with AccuWeather and The Hershey Company. Emily holds a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University.

Ammar Maraqa

Ammar Maraqa (he/him)

Ammar Maraqa is the Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer for Splunk. With over 25 years of experience, he leads strategy, corporate development, pricing and monetization, and the CISO organization. Prior to joining Splunk, Ammar served as Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at Cisco Systems, held various product and operations roles at Dell and was a senior associate at Bain & Company. He holds B.S. degrees from the Wharton and Engineering schools at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller scholar.

Toni Pavlovich is the Senior Vice President, Chief Customer Officer for Splunk. With over 30 years of experience, she is responsible for championing customer experience while fostering a customer-first mindset and culture across Splunk. Prior to joining Splunk, Toni served as Vice President of Global Business Critical Services and Vice President of Technical Sales and Professional Services for Veritas Technologies. Prior to Veritas, she spent 11 years at Symantec in strategic leadership roles driving delivery excellence in Technical Sales and Professional Services, and transforming Global Support. Toni has also held leadership positions with Oracle and Interactive Development Environments and previously served as an avionics engineer for Lockheed Aeronautical Systems. She holds a B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Brian Roberts

Brian Roberts is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Splunk. With 30 years of financial expertise, he has led financial operations and corporate development strategies at some of the most recognized brands in the technology and consumer industries. Prior to joining Splunk, Brian served as CFO of Ozone Networks (d/b/a OpenSea). Prior to that, he served as CFO of Lyft for seven years. He also held corporate development leadership roles at Microsoft and Walmart Global eCommerce, and spent over a dozen years as an investment banker. Brian holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
